Just Get Out There

Summer tried its best to hide away from the west coast this year, but it has finally arrived! The days are longer, the warm sun is more common and the great outdoors beckon you. So what is the hold up?
Whether a workaholic or just simply the lack of funds are keeping you in-doors this summer then you are missing out on the benefits of a great season. We all have our reasons for avoiding the heat, but the truth is you get use to it and there are plenty of activities that can be had regardless of the heat.

If you are working too much, then quit making excuses and get outside! Use your weekends to the fullest and even use a couple vacation days from time to time just to relax. If your lacking funds, there are plenty of cheaper activities that impact the wallet, most of which don't even cost a dime, although you might want to research what is in your area.

Make use of whats around you. It is hard to imagine that there isn't a viable option for outdoor recreation that isn't within an hours drive. You might have to think outside the box some, but get out and explore.

Perhaps the biggest deterrent to fun in the sun is keeping energy levels high. The heat can be a wearisome adversary, but the more active you are the more your body builds energy. A couch-potato life style will lead to a couch-potato life. Remember, we only go through this life once, why not be healthy and have some good times while we are at it.  Just remember to drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine as much as possible.

Make plans. Far to often do people sit around and do nothing because nobody is willing to plan anything. If you are going to have an adventure then you need to start planning it, or at least sitting down and seriously considering the options.

Adventure Never Sleeps – remember that. With the longer days and warmer nights, adventure can be had pretty much around the clock. Don't let laziness be a deterrence, just get out there!

Wishing you the best that summer has to offer! Now just get out there!
